Members, Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the next meeting will be held on December 8th. David Wallace from Oracle along with Adam Gray and Tony Abustani from Pillar Data will be presenting a topic relating to SAN storage in today's Oracle environment. Pillar Data is the new SAN Storage company founded 2 years ago with venture capital from Larry Ellison's personal funds. Their charter from Larry was to produce the fastest, most optimal storage array for Oracle databases. I think you'll be very interested to hear their accomplishments in the relatively short timeframe they've been around It also gives me great pleasure to announce that James Taylor was elected as the new CFOUG President. J.T. Taylor, Application Architect for Seminole County Government, has recently returned from serving a year and a half in Iraq and Afghanistan working with other government agencies. Previously CFOUG V.P. and Speaker Chair for two years, J.T. plans to bring Oak Table speakers to Orlando over the next year by working with SunCoast user group officers. Over the last 10 years, J.T. has been an Oracle PL/SQL Developer running his own consultancies, EaglePower Solutions, Inc. and TaylorMade Software, Inc. with his father, now in retirement. Hope to see you there! And as always, please register so that enough food and drink is brought to the social hour.
